SMART
TECH
When a rider purchases a vehicle that is delivered in it's
crate, the rider will either have to assemble the bike
themselves
or hire a qualified professional. The list of
potential problems from a faulty assembly is a long one and the
cost of hiring a
local qualified mechanic to assemble and road
test a bike out of the crate for you could run anywhere from $80
to $250
THIS COULD BE THE BEST
MONEY YOU'LL EVER SPEND
|
Assembly required for dropped shipped
vehicles
You are
responsible for performing the setup that a
dealer would normally perform - such as
putting on rear view mirrors, hooking up the
battery, rear wheels, rear fenders, trunk,
checking tightness of all nuts and bolts,
changing oil, etc.
Be sure to check for appropriate engine
fluid levels. |
Keep in mind!
Occasionally some units may need other
routine items checked & adjusted such as
adjusting the carburetor idle and mixture
screws, checking to ensure wires & hoses are
well connected & running in proper location.
I some cases adjusting chain slack and
alignment & rear tires balanced might be
necessary. |
|
To ensure
your vehicle is operating under the
recommended conditions prior to use we
suggest that you have it checked by a local
dealer or mechanic. |
|
SHIPPING OF
PRE-SERVICED VEHICLES:
Pre-Serviced vehicles

not fit in a crate, these vehicles must be
shipped by pallet or private
shipper. Shipping by this method could be
costly. Pricing is determined by weight,
dimension and destination.
Quotations will be on an individual basis.
You may pick-up your vehicle at no extra
charge at our location.

Please Don't
Forget
DROP SHIP:
Many of our customers are qualified to
assemble and do their own inspection as well
as many are animate with us and desire to
work on their own vehicle.
If you are one of our drop ship customers we
are here to walk you through any assistance
you may need. After un-crating your new item
just give us a call.
We still wish you to know that we would

TROUBLE SHOOTING & SERVICE TIPS
TRIKE-A 50cc |
|
EXCESSIVE VIBRATION AND
SHAKING |
|
YOU
MAY EXPERIENCE EXCESSIVE SHAKING AS YOU GET TO
HIGHER SPEEDS. THIS IS COMMONLY CAUSED BY UNBALANCED
TIRES BOTH FRONT AND REAR. IF THE
FRONT TIRE IS SPOKED IT MIGHT NEED TO BE TRUED. THIS
MEANS THAT THE SPOKES MUST BE ADJUSTED. |
|
RE-ROUTING THE FUEL LINE |
|
IN
SOME CASES YOU MAY FIND THAT THE FUEL LINE MIGHT BE
ROUTED INCORRECTLY. IT COULD BE RESTING ON THE
ENGINE CASE WHICH MIGHT CAUSE A PROBLEM BECAUSE OF
THE HEAT THAT IS GENERATED FROM THE ENGINE. IF YOU
FIND THAT THE FUEL LINE MUST BE RE-ROUTED DISCONNECT
THE FUEL LINE FROM CARBURETOR THEN PULL FUEL LINE
FROM HOLE IN MOUNT PLATE THEN RECONNECT THE FUEL
LINE AND ZIP TIE FUEL LINE JUST BEHIND THE PETCOCK
TO OTHER EXISTING WIRES IN THE HARNESS. |
|
BATTERY INSTALLATIONS |
|
WHEN FILLING THE BATTERY
WITH ELECTRO LIGHTS LEAVE THE BATTERY UNCAPPED FOR
APPROXIMATELY 15 TO 30 MINUTES THEN SEAL AND CHARGE
THE BATTERY AT ONE TO TWO AMPS FOR THIRTY MINUTES
OR ONE AMP FOR FORTY FIVE MINUTES. (DO NOT CHARGE
ANY HIGHER THAN TWO AMPS).
TO
INSTALL THE BATTERY REMOVE SEAL BY TAKING OFF
TWO 8MM BOLTS JUST UNDER THE PASSENGER SEAT. LIFT
AND PULL BACK TO UN-HINGE. WHEN INSTALLING BATTERY
IN IT'S PLACE PASS THE BATTERY UNDER THE BIKE
PUTTING IT IN IT'S HOUSING. TO KEEP THINGS NEAT ZIP
TIE REMAINING NEGATIVE AND POSITIVE WIRES TO
HARNESS. |
|
ENGINE OIL |
|
OIL
CAPACITY IS .08 OF A LITER (JUST SHY OF A FULL
LITER). MANUFACTURE RECOMMENDS YOUR FIRST OIL CHANGE
AT 300 MILES, WE RECOMMEND THE FIRST CHANGE AT 100
MILES FOR BRAKE IN. WE RECOMMEND CHANGING OIL AT 500
MILES FROM THEN ON. (ALWAYS CHECK FOR METAL SHAVINGS
IN THE OLD DRAINED OIL). A GOOD RECOMMENDED OIL THAT
CAN EASILY BE FOUND WOULD BE 10W-40 MOBIL CLEAN 5000
THIS CAN BE PURCHASED AT ANY AUTOMOTIVE OUTLET.
THE OIL FILL HOLE IS LOCATED AT RIGHT SIDE OF BIKE.
FILL OIL TO THE TOP OF THE FILL LINE. (SEE GLASS
FILL LINE).
IMPORTANT BE SURE BIKE IS NOT HOT AND THAT IT IS ON
LEVEL GROUND WHEN CHANGING OIL. |
|
CHANGING THE GEAR OIL |
|
GEAR
OIL HOUSING IS LOCATED AT CENTER OF REAR AXLE. YOU
MUST REMOVE THE FOURTEEN MM BOLT FOR FILL N TOP AND
THE SEVENTEEN MM DRAIN BOLT ON BOTTOM. MANUFACTURE
RECOMMENDS THAT THE GEAR OIL BE CHANGED AT 300 FOR
BRAKE IN AND 1000 MILES THERE AFTER. WE RECOMMEND
THAT YOU DO SO AT 100 MILES AT BRAKE IN AND 500 MILES
THERE AFTER.
RECOMMENDED WEIGHT WOULD BE 3GL40/50. THE AMOUNT
USED IS 200 ML JUST SHY OF EIGHT OUNCES.
(ALWAYS CHECK FOR METAL SHAVINGS IN OLD OIL.). |
|
RE-ROUTE THROTTLE |
|
Open
seat and take out seat bucket there will be a few
screws to take out. After lifting out seat bucket
you will be looking down on top of the engine and
carburetor you will see the throttle cable and it
might be laying on top of the metal portion of the
engine. This must be moved so as to not rest on the
engine because of the heat of the engine. Observe
how the cable is connected to the carburetor detach
it and re-route the cable by a simple twist so as to
keep it from the hot portion of the engine.
NOTE: When tighting all nuts rotate so that
each nut gets torque equally. |
|
REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT AND
CHAIN ADJUSTMENT |
|
To
align and center sprocket and rear wheels (wheel
mount). Their are four 18mm bolts on the top and
bottom of the rear axle mount. Loosen these bolts
just enough to be able to shift the rear wheels from
side to side. We recommend to grab each rear wheel
and shift the rear mount as far as it would go to
one side, it should only move a 1/2 inch at best.
Begin then to center the rear mount by gently moving
the mount to the other side until you feel that you
have achieved center.
To adjust chain you will have to loosen two 13mm
bolts located under the axle, this will allow you to
be able to lift up and push down on the tow bar
connected to the rear wheel mount. It's important to
note that you will only want to pivot this up or
down slightly allowing the chain to have
approximately 1/4 inch of play. Roll the vehicle
while checking to see if the chain has this play
through out.
NOTE: When tighting all nuts rotate so that
each nut gets torque equally. |
|
REAR WHEEL GREASE AND REAR
AXLE GREASE FITTINGS [ZERT] |
|
You
must check to see if the grease fitting on top of
the rear axle is sufficiently filled. By simply
taking a sharp pointed tool such as an ice pick
looking tool and press gently on the center portion
of the grease fitting [zert] to see if any grease
oozes out if not you must fill this with grease
until this happens.
Caution, periodically check the grease fitting as to
not over fill be careful to watch that grease does
not come out of any other place.
Before installing rear wheels we recommend to
disconnect the each end of the axle and pack as much
grease as possible in the cavity. Replace plate and
assemble rear wheels.
NOTE: Recommended grease would be Marine
Grease. |
|
RECOMMENDED OIL AND OIL
CHANGE INCREMENTS |
|
Your
scooter trike will come with factory oil. We
recommend that after 150 to 200 miles you do your
first oil change. We recommend that you replace your
oil with either Repsol 100% 10-w40 synthetic which
we can supply you with or Mobile Clean 5000
synthetic 10-W40. Oil changes should be completed
every 900 to 1000 miles.
NOTE: It is important to always use the same
oil over the life of the vehicle. |
